Terms of Use

These are starter terms. Please read them, change anything that does not match how you run your gym, and have them reviewed before you rely on them.

Registering a place

Registering through this site requests a place in a class. A place is confirmed when Club Planet Rhythmics accepts the registration and, where payment is due, when that payment has been received. Club Planet Rhythmics may decline a registration — for example where a class is full or a child is outside the age range for it.

Fees and payment

Fees are shown on the class before you register. Unless stated otherwise, fees are payable in full to hold a place. Where a payment plan is offered, the instalments and any charge for using one are shown before you agree to it.

Paying by Interac e-Transfer

Where Club Planet Rhythmics takes e-Transfer, your invoice carries the address to send to and a reference code for the message field. Please include the reference — it is what matches your payment to your family automatically, and a transfer sent without one has to be traced by hand. The receiving address uses Autodeposit, so there is no security question to answer.

Membership and insurance

Where Club Planet Rhythmics charges an annual membership or registration fee alongside class fees, it is shown before you register and is payable once a season. A fee of that kind usually covers provincial and national federation membership and the insurance that comes with it, and it is not refunded if your child stops attending part way through the year.

Cancellations and refunds

Tell Club Planet Rhythmics as early as you can if your child can no longer attend. Refunds are at Club Planet Rhythmics's discretion and depend on how much notice is given and how much of the term has run. Club Planet Rhythmics may cancel or reschedule a class — for illness, weather, or a facility closure — and will offer a replacement session or a refund for any class it cannot run.

Missed classes and make-up classes

Fees are not reduced for classes your child misses for reasons outside Club Planet Rhythmics's control — illness, a holiday, a school trip. Where a make-up class is offered for an absence, what you have to do to claim it is set out when the offer is made; telling Club Planet Rhythmics before the class starts is the usual condition.

Arriving and going home

Please have your child at the gym a few minutes before their class starts, and collect them promptly at the end. Club Planet Rhythmics supervises children during their own class, and is not responsible for a child left at the gym before it begins or after it has finished.

What your child wears

Children train in close-fitting gymnastics clothing, so that coaches can see and correct how a body is moving, with hair tied back off the face. Jewellery catches on equipment; small stud earrings and medical alert bracelets are the usual exceptions. Club Planet Rhythmics will tell you what its classes require, and may ask a child who is not safely dressed to sit out.

Behaviour and safety

Coaches' instructions exist to keep children safe and must be followed. Club Planet Rhythmics may ask a participant to leave a class, or withdraw a place, where behaviour puts that child or anyone else at risk.

Watching training

Coaches will tell you where parents may wait or watch. Children are harder to coach when they are also being coached from the side of the floor, so Club Planet Rhythmics may ask that you wait outside the gym during training.

Photographs and video

You are asked when you register whether photographs and video of your child may be used in Club Planet Rhythmics's own material — its website, its social media and anything it prints. You can change that answer at any time by telling Club Planet Rhythmics. Photographs other families take at shows and competitions are not Club Planet Rhythmics's to control.

Forms that have to be signed

Some documents cannot be agreed to by ticking a box and have to be signed instead — a release of liability is the usual one, and the federation your club belongs to may require its own. Club Planet Rhythmics will send you anything of that kind separately, and a place in a class may depend on it coming back signed.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell Club Planet Rhythmics if you think somebody else has it. You are responsible for what is done through your account.

Changes

Club Planet Rhythmics may change these terms. Where a change is significant you will be told before it takes effect.

Who you are dealing with, and under whose law

These terms are between you and Club Planet Rhythmics, which operates in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are governed by the law of British Columbia, and any dispute about them belongs to its courts.
